With over forty years proven experience in the design and manufacture of DC motors and gearboxes we are very proud of our company.

Our good name in the leisure, mobility and industrial sectors is due to our continuous programme of investment in new design and production methods in order to deliver a high quality range. All new products undergo Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) to ensure they are robust.

If you were to pick up one of our products you would be able to appreciate the compact design, the quality of the components, and the solid construction. They are built to perform.

Every motor we produce is checked against parameters including vibration and noise before despatch, so we can be sure of a consistently high standard.

Our gearboxes are quiet - typically less than 50dBA. We know this is important to our customers in the medical and leisure markets.

Using our load rig we can simulate working conditions to assess performance and life.

EMD Drive Systems has been granted quality accreditation to ISO 9001:2000 and we also have approval by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
